These kids should have been going to school and make a living for themselves. However, they are fooled by the empty bravado they have been brainwashed with. Now they are dying like flies in their thousands. What a sad joke!
One wonders why the war was begin to start with. How could you justify sending kinds to war they probably never come back alive from. Even if some of them are lucky enough to survive, their psych is wounded for the rest of their lives. There is going to be a huge social crisis to manage in Tigrai for the longest.
