This isn't a joke.. It is a shared belief among a wide swath of folks from that region. Some of them even in this forum have been seen calling their own people out as sub-humans because the shape of their nose... 
and the shade of their skin. I can't imagine how the Kunamas are surviving in such hostile culture. Indeed fascisms is alive and kicking in Tigrai.
