በቃ ያደግንባት አዲስ አበባ አሁን በአይምሯችን ትውስታ ውስጥ እንጂ በአካል ላትመለስ ተልውጣለች ! ደህና ሰንብት ታሪክ ! እንኳን ደህና መጣህ ለውጥ !!

የዛሬ 5 አመት አዲስ አበባ ባብዛኛው የአውሮፓ ከተማ ዲዛይን መስላ ምጡቅ ያፍሪካ መዲና አስገራሚ ዉበታማ ሜትሮፖል ትሆናልቸ ። ሆረስም ወይ እዚህ ፎረም ወይም ሌላ ሚዲያ ላይ ደግሞ የሸገርን ፍጽምና ምስለ ነገር፣ ምስለ ሃስብ ሲጽፍ ታገኙታልችሁ !!

Addis Ababa of yore is nostalgic not so much of the architecture or anything associated with that, but the friendships that were made-- the girls we took out for a date to smoke-filled empire cinema -the ups and downs of those tumultuous years to use Charles Dickens words were the best of Times, the Worst of Times. Those memories were etched in the buildings we used to know now forever gone. As you hinted it is the natural course of a city -- and for sure Addis Ababa is taking off for good.

Yes, indeed. But as you well know, memory is the largest component of our mind and in fact all of previous experience is nothing but a massive collection of memories. The distinction between the materiality of what we call reality and the reality of our memories and metaphors are often in jumble and difficult to disentangle. Most of all, for us humans, our memories have to with our experiences and not so much with the images of the changing physical worlds of the past. And, yes, the only permanent law is that everything will change and I for one am ready to embrace it with joy.
