Tigrayans are Ethiopians. They do not change their country because they are attacked by Abiy Ahmed and Issayas Afeworki troops. Tigrayans and other ethnic groups in Ethiopia have multiple identities. They are Ethiopians and Tigrayans at the same time. They could be Christians or Muslims. They could be mixed or non. They could be semetic or bantu etc. They could be dark skinned or brown. etc

Generalization is always a loser. It is better not to. Right now there are Tigreans who work with Abiy. It is not require one to be a rocket scientist to figure out that they call themselves Ethiopians right now.
