Court may force Election board to postponed the election until the court's decision is implemented i.e. until jailed leaders of the party Eskender & co. are registered as candidates.

Election board agreed to obey court decision and to let Eskender & co. register for the upcoming election. It must now print new ballot papers for Addis Ababa.

Amazing how Balderas forced Election board to destroy over 1 million already printed ballot papers. Election board is now forced to reprint the ballot papers at the cost of over 3 million birr just to include the 4 party officials. We are not fully yet there but we are seeing independent institutions being built and functioning. We are lucky to witness this. The lawyer is making a name for himself in this process.

This lawyer is making a name for himself. Amazing how he is maneuvering through the law, one step at a time. First he won a court case against the election board, then he made sure that Eskender & co. are on the ballot paper by asking the court to suspend the election. Now that they are on the ballot paper he is going after their release on bail using yet another election law "loophole".
