"አትጠራጠሩ ምርጫውን ተፎካካሪዎችን አዳክመን እና አጭበርብረን በግልፅ አሸንፈናል፡፡ እስከሚቀጥለው 10 አመት ድረስ ማንም ሰው መንግስት መሆን አይችልም፡፡ እሞታታለሁ እንጅ ስልጣን አልሰጥም፡፡ ብዙ እርምጃዎች ይወሰዳሉ፡፡"

Abiy Ahmed says to his CC members “We have already and certainly won the elections. We also have already established and deployed task force (killing squad) that will massacre all those who dare to dispute our electoral victory. There will be bloodshed, but I’ll never relinquish power in at least for the coming 10 years. I would rather die than handing over power to the others.”

"በዚህ ምርጫ በእኛ በኩል በተወሰነ ደረጃ ብልሽት እንዳይኖር ጥረት ይደረጋል፡፡ እንደሚታውቁት ምርጫው እንዲራዘም ፍላጎት የነበረው ዋነኝውው ፓርቲ ብልጽኛ ነው የነበረው በብዙ ምክን ያ ት በጥቅሉ ክሮና ባይመጣ ኖሮና ምርጫው ቢደረግ ምን ሊፈጠር እንደሚችል መገመት ያስቸግራል፡፡ ከነበረው ሁኔታ የዘጠ ነገር እንዳይፈጠር ምርጫን እንደ አማራጭ እነወስዳለን፡፡ እንደምታውቁት ፕለቲከኛ የሚባለው ሃይል አክቲቪስቱን ጨምሮ ስልጣን ለመያዝ ነው የሚሰራው፡፡ ስለዚህ የእኛ ካድሬዎች ከፍተኛ ጥምንንቃቄ ማድረግ ይኖርባቸዋል፡፡ ትንሽ እሚባል ስህተት ትንሽ እሚባል ጥፋት በየሳምንቱ ገምግመን ማረም መቻል አለብን፡፡ አንድ ፋኦል እደኛ ነው፡፡ የሚያስፈራኝ ጉዳይ በዚህ ምርጫ ስልታን ለመያዝ የሚፎካከሩ የፖለቲካ ሰዎው፣ የፖለቲካ ፓርቲዎች ሚዲያዎች ከምትገምቱት በላይ ብዙ ሃይሎች ከቅርብም ከሩቅም አሉ፡፡ እስከሚቀጥለው 10 አመት ድረስ ማንም ሰው መንግስት መሆን አይችልም፡፡ እሞታታለሁ እንጅ ስልጣን አልሰጥም፡፡ ብዙ እርምጃዎች ይወሰዳሉ፡፡ ለዚህ የተዘጋጀ ግብረ ሃይል ስራውን ጀምሯል፡፡ ለዚህ ከፍተና የሆነ ፍጅት፣ ደም መፋሰስ ይፈጠራል፡፡ ነገር ግን ከወዲሁ እርግጠኛ ሆኘ የምነግራችሁ ምንም ጥርታሬም፣ ሚስጥርም የለውም፡፡ ምርጫውን አሸንፈናል፡፡ በቀላሉ ያሸነፍነው በተቻለ መጠን ምርጫውን አጨናግፈን፣ የሚፎካከሩ ሃይሎችን ተስፋ እኖርጡ የማድረግ ትልቅ ሃላፊነት አለብን፡፡ ካለፍንባቸው ፈተናዎች አንፃር ይህን ማሳካት ብዙ ከባድ አይደለም፡፡ ይህ ብቸኛው መንገድ እንዳይበላሽ ሃላፊነት ወስደን ብናሳካው ጥሩ ነው ብዬ አስባለሁ፡፡"

"On our part, we will do whatever is possible to make sure that there are no irregularities in the upcoming election. As you know, the Prosperity Party was the main party that, for a variety of reasons, favored postponing the scheduled National Election last year. Overall, it is hard to imagine what would have happened if the Coronavirus did not occur and the election had proceeded as scheduled. This time, we consider holding the election as the most favorable option for us to avert a situation worse than last year. It must be stressed that the so-called politicians, including activists are striving to take power. Because of this, our political operatives must take extra precautions in whatever they do. We must constantly evaluate and quickly correct even a small gaffe or a minor misstep. Even a single foul play is dangerous. What alarms me is the fact that there are more politicians, more political forces, media outlets than you can imagine who are contesting this election to wrest power. No one will be able to form a government in the coming 10 years. I would rather die than hand over power to them. We will take elections. The task-forces we established has already commenced the work. As a result, there will be a high level of death and bloodshed. Regardless, I can tell you with certainty and there is no doubt or mystery about it. We have won the election, we have won it easily. We now have great responsibility to present an election [that may produce a different result] and make sure that our competitors also lose hope in it. Compared to the challenges we have come trough thus far, it should not be difficult to succeed in this endeavor. I believe we must redouble our effort to prevent our only recourse to success from slipping away. "
