According to some news, among them Africa News: Tanzania's late president John Magufuli "suddenly died from an illness shrouded in mystery".
Nicknamed the "Bulldozer" for his leadership style, Magufuli was buried in Chato after nearly a week being mourned by crowds in various cities as his casket was moved around the country.
According to BBC news, "
John Magufuli: Tanzania's president dies aged 61 after Covid rumours"
According to NYT "
John Magufuli, Tanzania Leader Who Played Down Covid, Dies at 61", no mention of cause, only his "playing down of COVID"
In fact I was not much aware of his death until someone, from a country where I live, talked to me about it and some how indicated that he was murdered for his defiance, I was just shocked but I can't say how much this is true.

The poor guy was portrayed as a primitive anti-science African .....
Education
Magufuli started his education at the Chato Primary School from 1967 to 1974 and went on to the Katoke Seminary in Biharamulo for his secondary education from 1975 to 1977 before relocating to Lake Secondary School in 1977 and graduating in 1978. He joined Mkwawa High School for his Advanced level studies in 1979 and graduated in 1981. That same year he joined Mkwawa College of Education (a constituent college of the University of Dar es Salaam) for a Diploma in Education Science, majoring in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Education.
Magufuli earned his Bachelor of Science in education degree, majoring in Chemistry and Mathematics as teaching subjects from the University of Dar es Salaam in 1988. He also earned his masters, and doctorate degrees in chemistry from the University of Dar es Salaam in 1994 and 2009, respectively. In late 2019, he was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Dodoma for improving the economy of the country.

"Tanzanian President John Magufuli died Wednesday aged 61 from a heart condition, his vice president said."
I believe he died from Covid-19 and the heart condition is just a cover-up, because saying that he died from the very same Covid-19, which he kept dismissing, would make him an international subject of ridicule.
However, lies, propaganda, and fake news put aside, no one has been killed for having refused to take Covid-19 seriously to date! Therefore, claiming that he was murdered because he was a coronavirus sceptic is just a load of bollocks!

Well, you have the right to speculate about anything but I didn't see also where his "murder" attributed to his scepticism of COVID.

Probably, that is also one of the reasons why his country's people mourned him for a week before his funeral. At the same time he was not the most adored personality for the "outside" world, why was that?

Read well what I've said before you try to misinterpret what I've said! I haven't speculated anything whatsoever. You're the one who is speculating the bullshit that your friend told you, saying that, "
some how indicated that he was murdered for his defiance, I was just shocked." You believed such a bullshit, otherwise you wouldn't have been shocked!
I haven't said anywhere that he was murdered, leave alone that he was murdered due to his scepticism with regard to Covid-19.
