To me Nile Rogers is king of funky music. But, not the hardest working or the most talented guitarist.
In this song, Rogers plays four chords. A minor, A minor Seven, D-minor and a little C major and B minor. The way he plays it, all the chords are within five frets. Very easy way to play it. The hardest part is to maintain the funky style strumming. Unfortunately, he stopped right there. He never developed it. My favorite genre is classic rock and funky music. A lot of Rock artists are trying to infuse funky music into mainstream rock. I try it at home. I think it will work.
