USA: The Use of Fear as Political Stratagm

The Egyptian hectic activities of visits, meetings, declarations and military show all attempts of using optics, spectacles, media noise and production of virtual realities in order to scare and influence Ethiopians. The question is who can actually do real things on the ground? In the bushes and mountains. Any other economic, trade or financial dangers, Ethiopia must plan right at this point how we can close the gaps, switch friends and enemies. All else is mere mirage and bluffing.

There is nothing we don't know what America can do!
There is nothing we don't know what Egypt can do?
The same with Sudan and Kenya!

The Egyptian president's visit to Djibouti has nothing to do with Ethiopia and Egypt dam conflict, Egypt’s interest in Djibouti is about security, Saudi Arabia and Egypt want to secure vital Red Sea shipping routes that are integral to the operation of the suez canal

But everybody knows that Isaias Afwerki is pitting Ethiopia against Djibouti, but so far to no avail, Djibouti and Ethiopia have enjoyed close and friendly relations since 1977 and will continue to be good neighborly countries, Djibouti is Ethiopia right-hand.

I don't believe in that view. There is something called timing in diplomacy. Egypt knows that there would be an appearance of anti-Ethiopian activity by simply combining all of her multi-country deals and talks. It one way of putting pressure and create a mirage of Ethio-Djinutian doubt. It is the timing!

I think I agree with AbyssiniaLady on this one, except the “ Afewrki is pitting Ethiopia against Djibouti” phrase. Djibouti and Ethiopia have too many common interest and that no country could break that. Even the Kenyan visit , I do believe, might not be related in any form or shape with the dam. Africa, especially East Africa is going to become a force to be reckoned with. Egypt seemed to have noticed.
