It is true about the president's family when I was visiting Eritrea(Asmara) a few years ago my nephew was leaving to Sawa so we went out shopping to buy him some necessity things then when we was in one of the small shops there were some elderly man sitting there and chatting then a lady walked in thos elderly men Sade salamat Elsa and she replied selam how is your day she was shopping for her kid too leaving for Sawa and she was bargaining like everybody else bought some things and left a couple of things saying too expensive and I didn't see any special treatment towards her from the shop owner then after she left my sister-in-law told me that was the president's wife and I couldn't believe it and asked my sister-in-law why she didn't tell me then everybody started laughing and said you must be diaspora?
I was very impressed and proud of my president
