Revisiting “Russiagate”: If Trump was Putin’s Asset, Why Did Obama Sign an NDAA that Enhanced Presidential Powers

Less than a month before leaving office, then President Barack Obama signed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which among other things vastly expanded the powers of the Federal government’s ability to spy domestically, allowed the government to spew propaganda and gave the President near unlimited powers to detain American citizens indefinitely without habeas corpus. All of these actions were an outright abrogation of the United States Constitution and empowered future administrations the means to implement and justify tyranny in the name of security we are always promised in exchange for our liberties only to keep losing both.
Now if Donald Trump was such a danger to our country and so uncompromised by his collusion with Russia, why would Obama sign the NDAA and give Trump the tools he needs to demolish democracy. Keep in mind that Trump was already elected and Hillary Clinton had conceded the race to the muttonhead from Mar-a-Lago, so why would the First Bank President expand the functions of the Executive Branch to such an extent that our Republic could be turned into a banana republic with a melomaniac Commander-in-Chief at the helm...continued...
