Thanks, Zmeselo,
I am glad we have a product that would help feed our world as opposed that destroys it.

Yes of course, brother!
It's the importance of it & that "they" had their eyes on it since at least 1918 was a bit shocking to me, to be honest.

Good point! Thanks for sharing.
They knew about it and they’ve been waiting for 100 yrs to find the right puppet government to legally steal it from the locals... they want to give the locals 3% and 97 % for them like what they do in other African countries. Issu is too nationalist and demands 50% share of the pie

The ferenjis know what Eritrea is sitting on other than potash, be it oil and gas and other rare metals... and they are waiting and waiting for the right time...while waiting they’re creating distractions to the locals so they won’t start looking at what they have—- keep the Eritreans busy just trying to survive—- so they won’t have the time and resources to do exploration of their blessed land...
The Ferenjis are mad at Dr Abiy for making peace with Eritrea...because Eritrea in peace is a threat to the hidden treasure in the land. Trump was an exception but the agenda never changed for 100 years....
Tplf was a good soldier that they invested heavily to keep Eritrea busy and occupied in a no war no peace situation and Trump ruined it all for them... they are grieving for the dead tplf loyal telalaki banda zer. The ferenjis don’t care about poor tigreas but their interests.
In secret of course...Eritrea should bring in the Chinese or Russians wildcats and drill in the area 90 kms north of massawa where exon mobil found gas in 1969 and drill on a well on the African side of the Red Sea opposite to the Yemen oil finds which the British company BP explored in 1989 but the results are secret for the public.... drill Eritrea drill

If it wasn't for the application of Potash to agriculture, the World population could have been starved to death by now. The solution to the nitrogen fixation from the air came from German scientist Fritz Haber, who discovered in 1909 that the chemical reaction of N and hydrogen-produced ammonia—the main component in nitrogen-based fertilizers. Now. Africans are idiots. We have not proven any better yet. However, with Potash, the sky is the limit.
Potash (especially potassium carbonate) has been used in bleaching textiles, making glass, ceramic, and making soap, since the Bronze Age. Potash was principally obtained by leaching the ashes of land and sea plants. Beginning in the 14th century potash was mined in Eritrea and Ethiopia. One of the world's largest deposits, 140 to 150 million tons, is located in the Dallol area of the Afar Region.
We have not yet attempted to exploit the busiest maritime corridor in the world. What is the point of having a Ferrari, if you don't take advantage of it, by taking the most beautiful girl, to a romantic ride, in the neighborhood.

Of course, the one and the only one- General Sebhat Ephrem- expounding the reality eloquently, at a meeting with Eritreans in 2015, that never failed the test of time!
Just listen to one or two minutes from where it's been marked (pertaining to the topic of the thread) if you don't have time to watch the full clip.

Thanks for sharing! Very educational and eye opening material
What I wrote above was a gut feeling and this material confirms my suspension on what all the hostility of the ferenjis towards the Eritrean government is coming from...

the maps towards the end are something else, I need to go to my dads village and start digging for gold

gold everywhere

Truly blessed land and thieves want to robbery the treasure... instead of coming to share the treasure with the locals...
