ETHIOPIANS HAVE SEVERAL QUESTIONS ON THE PROPOSED VISA RESTRICTIONS - READ ON

US Senators and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken:
1. Why did the US give deaf ear and looked the other way for the past 27 years when Ethiopians suffered greatly under the TPLF regime? What motivated US to take unusually swift actions this time around?
2. What is the extent of Suzan Rice’s influence on the proposed sanctions on Ethiopian government officials? In addition, is it appropriate to impose sanctions simply to appease the hostile appetite of one person who harbors hostility against the Ethiopian people, which she referred to as “stupid” previously?
3. What do you accomplish by imposing sanctions on TPLF officials who are mostly either already sanctioned (in hiding), killed, or in prison?
4. Don’t you realize there are also ongoing wars in the Oromia (Wollega, Shashemene, Burayou, Legetafo, Ataye, Shewa Robit) and Benshangul (Metekel) regions where genocide is being committed each and everyday by Oromo terrorists and Oromo special forces on innocent Amharas in addition to the war in Tigray? Where Amharas and Orthodox Christians are beheaded, mutilated, cut into pieces, shot, displaced in hundreds of thousands simply because they are Amharas and Orthodox Christians.
5. Why is US not demanding Sudan to get out of the 70 kilometer Ethiopian territory it occupied while strongly demanding Eritrean troops get out of Ethiopian territory immediately?
6. When you said you will continue to support funding for food, health, and education; are you thinking of only the Tigray region? Or the fund will be distributed equitably to all parts of Ethiopia where the needs are? Ethiopians are worried the humanitarian fund could be channeled to TPLF junta for malicious reasons as did happen in the 1980s.
7. Don’t you realize that the root cause of all the problems in Ethiopia is TPLF-installed ethnic federalism and its constitution which is currently owned and implemented by Abiy Ahmed’s regime - called Orommuma?
