Currently EAL has a total of 129 planes and 113 of them are US made Boeing and all will be grounded soon as the new US sanctions prevent EAL from purchasing spare parts.

ችግሩ ከጠቅላይ ሚኒስተር ጎበና የፓለቲካ መሃይምነት የመነጨ ነው። እኔ በሱ ቦታ ብሆን ሀገሪትዋን ጦርነት ውስጥ ሳልከት፣ የውጭ ዲፕሎማሲዋና የውስጥ ፖለቲካዋንም አሁን ለሚታየው አደጋ ሳላጋልጥ፣ with no collateral damage የወያኔን ወንጀለኞች ነጥዬ በማውጣት ለፍርድ የማቀርብበት ስትራቴጂወና ብቃቱ ነበረኝ። ግን ምን ታደርገዋለህ አለመታደል ሁኖ ስልጣን የማይገባው ሰው እጅ ገብቶ፣ ሐገሬን አንዴ ሻእቢያ አንዴ የወያኔ ወንጀለኞች መፈንጫ አደረጋት። እንጂ የአንተ ወያኔ ፒነት ነበረች አቦይ።
