~ A statement by Andargachew Tsige in reaction to the recent media note by the US State department demanding ceasefire in Tigray. The Prime Minister's ally claims the United States and Europe are trampling on Ethiopia's sovereignty. It's a pity that he pontificates about statements but turns a blind eye to Eritrean and Sudanese forces running roughshod on Ethiopian soil.

Andargachew, a British citizen himself, is the CEO of ESAT Television in contravention of Ethiopian media law which proscribes foreign citizens from running a media institution. Why is a British citizen threatening to burn another sovereign nation's flag in Ethiopia's capital? The Prime Minister's inner circle is going berserk.

Andargachew Hold on your horses. What good that would do? If there is a demonstration it has to be message-oriented, with no denouncement of America but its policies. And support for the Ethiopian Government stance in protecting Ethiopan interest. That is what is needed . We don't have to show temper tantrums on grand scale . And all Ethiopians should be ready whatever hardship that going to come in order to defend our independence.
