USA and EU have strategic interests in Tigray-Ethiopia and rest of Ethiopia as a whole. Tigray-Ethiopia is the core of ancient Ethiopia, the birth place of Christianity. Islam is just a few miles away. If fundamental Islam thereatens Europe again, Ethiopia the first country to provide support. Without Tigray, Ethiopia a pagan country Outside Tigray, Christianity in Ethiopia is based on a mix of animist and some form of Christianity.
The amhara will join Tigray soon and defend Ethiopia from Islamic fundamentalism by evicting Eritrea's army and overthrowing abiy Ahmed ali, self-appointed PM in "Ethiopia"'.
