Abiy's government has incarcerated Jawar/Bekele and others in Oromia; cracked down all protests, boycotts, road shutdowns etc. there, led by the extremists Prof. Ezkael, Dr. Mismare, Ararsa and others. Where are they now? That was huge act by government & more or less successful.

So, encouraging or not pushing it back a bit such free willy demonstrations in the Amhara region shall demand a reciprocal in Oromia. Can we handle all that Oromo Kerro in the streets again? Probably not.

So, Abiy may have already more or less agreed with the woman's view however, him encouraging the protest of such kind fully maybe fatal to the transition. Too many factors at play.

So, his asking the country to focus on the election is probably a wise thing to do.
