ዓጋሜዎች ኤርትራን በወረሩበት ወቅት በዉግያው በለስ ሳይቀናቸው ሲቀር "ሳትቀደም ቅደም! ዘርፈህ አምልጥ!" ይባባሉ ነበር። በዉግያው ወቅት "አንድ እግር በመሬት" የሚባል ነገር ነበር። የሽሽት ጣቢያ የሚሉት አሜሪካና አውሮጳ ናቸው። እስከ ኮሎኔል ያሉት ዓጋሜዎች በአብዛኛው ቤተሰባቸውን ወደ አሜሪካ አሸሹ። በስደት ያሉ የወያኔ ባለስልጣን ቤተሰቦች ዶላር የሚላክላቸው ከሃገር ዉስጥ ነበር። ተገላቢጦሽ። ትግራይ ውስጥ ሽመልባ የሚባል የስደተኞች ካምፕ ነበር። ዓጋሜዎቹ፣ "ኤርትራውያን ነን" እያሉ በብዛት ወደ ውጭ ሃገር ይሄዱበት ነበር።
ዛሬ ወደ አሜሪካና አውሮጳ የሸሹና ጥቅም የቀረባቸው ዓጋሜዎች ጥቅማቸውን ለማስመለስ ሲጮሁ፡ እንዳህያ ሲከባለሉ ማየት ብዙ አያስገርምም። እነኚህ ትራፊዎች ሽንፈታቸውን የሚያስታግሱት ውሸት በማውራት ብቻ ነው።
