It is very interesting to hear it directly from Putin that, ethnic federalism was the catalyst that disintegrated the former Soviet Union, for the union's fate was intertwined with that of Lenin's Bolshevik party that introduced the federalism and gave the loosely federated republics the right to self determination and secession; and when the party collapsed years later, so did the Soviet union.
I can't say for certain that the low IQ agame understood the real danger ethnic federalism poses to the Ethiopian union, or perhaps they just didn't care, for their eyes were so fixated on how they can milk the country dry until they declare their Tigray's independence.
On its 2009 report, the International Crisis Group (ICG) wrote: "...you know what destroyed the USSR and Yugoslavia? False federalism and false elections. The real danger in Ethiopia is false federalism and false elections."
