NAMA/ABN failed! They are going the failed Jawar & Co. path of "struggle" and will may soon land in jail

Going the path of "struggle" and blocking roads etc. is the dumbest thing to do while you are just 2 months away from getting power through peaceful and legal election. NAMA was calling for resistance and struggle few days ago and now we have violence. NAMA should take full responsibility for taking things out of proportion and face justice. This is the dumbest thing to do while you are just 2 months away from election. PP is playing emotional and immature opposition like fools. Oppositions always fail because they are mostly lead by emotions instead of thinking strategically and long term with cool head.

instead of trying to stop the continuing genocide carried out on Amhara people by fascist Gallas, you are trying to blame NaMA. Don't you feel a bit shame?

Do not count there are, or is TPLF mole in NAMA. TPLF is masterful sneaking in their men in tribal parties. In fact, at its birth some of the TPLF cadres publicly wrote in favor of it.
The last written statement says it all. I think the TPLF guy wrote that paper, assuming it is the right time to do. I personally believe it is a gross political miscalculation.

The demonstrators have every right to demonstrate peacefully and their demand is legitimate. But NAMA's press release was like adding gas on a fire just like what Jawar & co. did when Hachalu was assassinated. Yes ordinary people can get angry and demonstrate etc. but the opposition should come out and try to calm the masses instead of flaming the fire. I expected Jawar & co. to come out and calm the masses but got more agitation and more calling for "struggle" a code word for creating chaos and it just happened that way in Oromia. NAMA was also calling for intensifying the "struggle" and we have this in Bahr Dar now. Playing with the emotions of the youth is playing with fire and the opposition must know that at the end the fire will end up burning them too.

temari,
NAMA has been pursing peaceful means of struggle under the face of unpeaceful ADP&ODP/PP. What more do you want the Amhara people and NAMA will lose. What kind of political party should be so complacent while the people it is representing is under fierce genocide. The most shameful entity I have heard in history is the Amhara PP party. It is not NAMA that called the demonstration " Enough OLF/ODP-PP" it is the entie Amhara people on its own. When ADP-PP now learns it has lost the election before it is hold, it is trying to build pretext; and I think that is you are lured to to that narrative. In any case, no Amhara will die for the Oromuma Abiy and it s pack animal ADP.

I do not entirely discount your take that NAMA could have been infiltrated. However, it is mendacious and very demeaning to make a statement alluding that NAMA is aligned with TPLF or assume that they are closer to TPLF in any shape or substance. Your hate for ethnic based politics is understandably share bay many including myself. However, almost all parties including the governing parties are ethnic based. You can't just blame those who came to the landscape late in the game as reaction to the already established political reality and its continuous callous indifference to the sufferings of so many.
As for infiltration by TPLF or any other anti-Ethiopian agents of political parties, you won't need anyone to tell you the fact that the current government and its leadership are the creation of the same entity that we are now fearing to have permeated NAMA. In fact the governing OLF party seem to have perfected the means and ways of subjugation and become very crafty in how to cracking up and dividing oppositions.
In all of these, what we all don't want to firmly discern is the fact that unless there are political parties in the field which are able to force the hegemonic forces to curb their unhinged power grab, we should absolutely be assured that what we will end up with is worse than what we have been through for the past 30 years. We shouldn't expect everyone to keep silent when Cities and towns are burned to ashes, thousands are massacred because of their ethnic identity and hundreds of thousands are displaced.
The government which is openly begging OLF/OFCO to participate in the election is now suggestively aggravated by some to go for putting NAMA leadership behind bars, because NAMA agree with their people that farmers and, city dwellers and, kids and, mothers of Amhara ethnic origin shouldn't be the targets of extermination. What is more palpable is the fact that the same government which we are urging to silence peaceful protest, is arguably the entity which could be behind all of these cruelty.
One last reality, even if NAMA leadership, as so many of you here suggest, is to be is to be discarded from the political field, there are others with the same mantra that could take its place while multiplying the already heated opposition against the OLF government. Until identity politics is banned as an organizing ideology in the country, you can't just pick and choose who could organize tribally and who can't. You can't blame the parties organized based on the preferred criteria of the constitution when they represent those who have been made the punching bag for the last 50 plus years and continuing.

Za, I did not say they are closer to TPLF. But they play the same politics which the TPLF wrote : Every tribal politicians could take of their kind, and the existence of Ethiopia is a myth. In a sense the NAMA politicians in principle are close to TPLF than EZEMA.
I personally do not have any sympathy for tribal organization ; NAMA is not the exception. They are the political cancer that Ethiopians should get rid off.

Temari can't guide the Astemari! Just learn.
temari said "Going the path of "struggle" and blocking roads etc. is the dumbest thing to do while you are just 2 months away from getting power through peaceful and legal election."
What kind of peaceful election? What do we expect? Is blocking the road concern them more than the killing of masses?
Abiy is reaching the time similar to the last weyane's power- fighting with Amharas's militia. If the mass comes out against them, it is over!
temari said "The demonstrators have every right to demonstrate peacefully and their demand is legitimate. But NAMA's press release was like adding gas on a fire just like what Jawar & co. did when Hachalu was assassinated."
fk Jawar the terrorist and Hacalu. who care? we are looking for some terrorist gallas like Taye denda, Shimeles Abdisa....
We haven't seen such kind of ugly situation in our lives. Abiy and his party will pay the price.
Especially, most of gallas should be sent to jail.

Temari "ፈታሹን ፈትሽው" Abiy is the leader of the Oromia Beltsgna party as such he should have a good grasp of what is going on there, I have a good reason to expect he knows what is going on. His best friends for a long time are in charge of the region. Not only that he appointed his Oromo buddies in every key federal position to execute his plan. So to point out his dereliction of duty by Omission or by the commission is the responsibility of all Ethiopians, it just happens AMAA beat everyone in putting the blem squarely at Abiy's feet. Kodos for their courage. The nonchalant way you are trying to tigh up AMAA with Jawar is the result of lazy thinking. To hold the government accountable for its inaction when a targeted killing happens by a group that is being supported, armed, and allowed to roam freely in the region where Abiy party leads make him obviously responsible. To get lectured by him about being ethnic cleansed is a premium we have to pay for Ethiopia's "prosperous future" is just an insult.
