I reserve myself to suggest the best fit person leading liberation front but I can honestly say the following fact with no other alternative. When you give responsibility to perceived enemy, s/he will become true friend. Note that, in fact, it is not to solicit anyone but an option with no other alternative.

If the Ethiopian empire expects to remain intact, the next PM/President (if constitution will change) must come from the plural nation of Oromo. And s/he must be the one who most Oromos at all levels of walks of life endorse.

I agree! The problem is a Nation/State design building one that cant be designed by political actors on the ground, whose motive is maximizing utility of POWER, MONEY and POPULARITY for themselves.

Alas, we never learn...naming names so that Addis Ababa showers them with flattery, only to cajole them to do its bidding then burn them down when addis ababa's/amhara's utility is not optimized.

The worst thing than Abiy is another individual which is flattered to think of doing the undoable!

I pick the option of a proportionally represented council which will outsource Nation/State Building to parties, institutions outside of the country! Perhaps, an Indian University active in government engineering.

Good. For me to be confident of what you mean, you should have defined to whom you referred by “we”. Obviosly in Ethiopian empire’s political context terms like habesha, we, Ethiopian etc have narrow sense when it comes to the benefit of residues of Menelik or broad sense when it comes to the entice use of bubbles of Axum. But let’s further it a bit, the way I understood your opinion.

Beyond shadow of doubt we Oromos and the southern subject nations learn from the past, evaluate the contemporary and predict the future political turmoil or gain in Ethiopia. As for the Menelikians, the problem is framed in your first sentence.

Let me remind you demonstrations thus far held in Oromia with pro-Oromo issue and the present pro-Amhara demonstration. The latter enjoyed no obstacle leave alone loss of property and/or life. This clearly reflect the political foundation of Ethiopian politics. The former had no that option. Note that the tendency of both demonstrations is to acknowledge their own matters. Also remember what happened in Wolayita, Sidama, Somales, Kimant and others when they were out to the street to complain their inconvenience.

Nevertheless, it is legal for residues of Menelik even to demonstrate their needs or to denounce others, claim to be Amhara which non-existed as nation but deny the nations with real genealogy seen on the ground, distract what they think isn’t appropriate, undertake election even beyond their territory when they think time is theirs, reject election or reverse census when they are inconvenient with it, or refuse command post in their territory but recommend in the territories of subject people, etc.

Yet the central government is claiming same policy for the entire federal states.

What this show of where shall it leads? You can imagine what lead us to pick up our arms and forced us to flee the empire. The effect brought us to this stage where we the subject people are saying we are better of those colonial structural cruelty but remained with residues only. On the contrary the people of colonial regime seem are never learning by comparing where they were and at what they are now. Obviously they are not at their supremacy of Menelik and his descendants era. They also seem to have no clue of the political future of the empire. They just log onto media, shout and pacify their inner most as if propaganda liberates land for them. As for me, Amhara dude’s are like England lady who only remember her past and enjoy.

In effect, I am saying, under such fraudulent assumption of so called Amharas (mixed) aka Menelik residues no Ethiopian empire will prevail.

Oromo and Tigray nationalist's position has always been that PPs term had expired! The headline is wrong. It is an opinion. The guy is not going to leave power. In fact, it is stupid of him thinking leaving power. He has been through a lot, and he should tough it out.
