Wow! Some in the EU, think Europe is still a colonial power in Africa.

And this psycho, wants to dim the Sun.

“Do you know what the emergency really is? You want to hear about the really big emergency? The emergency is that if you guys [Eritreans] succeed [using your principle of self-reliance], you’ll be an embarrassment to Africa. Who wants a setup like yours? There aren’t many governments on this continent that do. There aren’t many governments in Europe. Colored folk who can look after themselves? It isn’t viable. It upsets the world picture. Don’t you know the West has to believe famine’s an act of God? If they believe that, they only have to make a donation. But if they believe it’s an act of bloody politics, they have to really do something, and that’s too, too complicated. So what is the story? The story is you guys will fall on your own f-ucking swords, because you’ve got this crazy idea that the world will allow you to be perfect!
‘These guys [Eritreans] are astounding! Running all this. And you know what? The world hates ‘em for it! The world hooked into the idea of ‘the helpless Africans!
“You know what I think? They are brave to the point of folly and they’re clever to the point of being dumb. No one absolutely no one, from Washington to Moscow, wants them to succeed. No one. … God’s even taken the rain away from them, for Christ’s sake. Even he thinks they’re wrong-headed. The sin of pride … the sin of being sharp when no one wants them to be.”
That's not the case, I'm afraid!Wow! Some in the EU, think Europe is still a colonial power in Africa.

What you might not know is that not only have both the EU and US been the backbone of Farmajo's rule, but also, as donours they've been supervising the critical election process in Somalia for the benefit of all Somalis, this time without favouring anyone.
This fraudulent lame duck Farmajo, who has wasted four years doing absolutely nothing, has bribed corrupt parliamentarians and they voted for extending his mandate for two years last Monday before the eyes of everybody - while talks on the type of election to be held involving federal states were going on since last September, as "One man one vote" was supposed to be held this time in Somalia but the protracted insecurity atmosphere in the country is still not allowing this.
The frigging Farmajo thinks he's in Guinea Ecuatorial!
the ministry said in a statement issued in Mogadishu.Federal government of Somalia (FGS) appreciates the international community's continued support, but will reject any attempts to use humanitarian assistance to blackmail the country and advance their agenda,
said the Foreign Ministry. The heroic decision of parliament is in tandem with the aspirations of Somali people for universal suffrage, to determine their own leadership and chart their own destiny,
the partners said in a joint statement issued in Mogadishu. We have repeatedly stated that a parallel political process, partial elections, or new initiatives leading to an extension of prior mandates will not be supported,
said the partners. We call on all parties to exercise maximum restraint, continue dialogue, and avoid unilateral actions that may inflame tensions. We stand ready to provide good offices to facilitate and revitalize inclusive dialogue, on the basis of the 17 September agreement,

I saw the issue from the EU perspective, & our continent in general. The tone sounds menacing & I've a hard time believing it's based on good intentions, for the somali people. If money is the issue, they should then keep it. Not use it as a threatening weapon, while it's dressed in "humanirarianism" to begin with! We saw it with the weyane. Billions every year, but not a word on its record on Human Rights.
Very selective & hypocritical.
What do you think that veiled "threat" from Borrell consists of then, except for withholding money? A coup?Somaliman wrote: ↑14 Apr 2021, 14:55Zmeselo wrote: ↑14 Apr 2021, 11:43Ok!Somaliman wrote: ↑14 Apr 2021, 11:07That's not the case, I'm afraid!Wow! I understand where you're coming from, but trust me their supervision in the election process in Somalia is this time based on good intentions, as they're not siding with anyone or having their own candidate. Their reaction is exactly the reaction of the staggering majority of Somalis, including myself.
Money is not the issue in this case because neither the EU nor US give money to Somali government, as any money they claim to be giving to Somalia goes to their own institutions, agencies, and bodies.
It's Farmajo's bullshit against the rest, and not the EU against Somalis. The EU is not doing anything wrong in this election process, apart from having been so nice for so long with Farmajo expecting that he would hold fair "One man one vote" election as prescribed in the country's constitution long before he came to power and that he pledged himself achieving it and on time.
