There must be something wrong with the overall psyches of people when we move northwards in Ethiopia from the south, which is defined more than anything by an attitude of belligerence, war mongering, call for war and war, even when there is no need for one.
There must be another way, I guess.
Many of these young people might have died by now, with them many of their dependent families have become helpless and depend on some sort of handouts from a stranger. A sad story by itself.
This is today.
Moving forward the effect is even more catastrophic for the young generation of Tigreans, who are deprived the opportunity to build their future today, taken out of school and made to become fighting force, in a world governed by knowledge and education.
It is not militaristic uphand that will make competitive in the future, but the knowledge you have and putting your kids out of school is like making your future full of darkness, if I may guess.
The people who are left-out today will going to lose not only today but for much longer and foreseeable future.
People need to come to their sense, if there is any left in them. It is a catastrophe in my view.
