Any body who visits Western Tigray can easily discover that the Amhara lawless militia and special forces have been looting, killing, forcing Tigrayans to vacate( ethnic cleansing)and preventing Tigrayans from migrating to Sudan.

Why do they prevent from migrating into Sudan? Do they wanted them stay in Welqait alongside the Welqait Amhara? I think it sounds to me an exaggeration. To be honest, if there actually was such an act these people would migrate in-wards into Tigray and certainly most of them return to their original villages or roots where they were prior to TPLF's annexation of Welqait. As tragic as it could be, exaggeration will make it worse. One has to look at what had happened on the other side some 30 or 35 years ago. People were evicted from their own ancestral lands and village by TPLF with the aim of illegally resettling Tigres there in Welqait. This is the fact, even Ato Gebremedhin Araya validated this fact. I wish we had matured and wise people like him. We would not be in this position if there had matured adults in the room in present day Tigray. Honest and good citizens like him values every province as his/ her own as he does for the province of Tigray. Believing, the entire provinces of Ethiopia for everyone is his/her without favoring one over the other or without saying this is mine not your was what anchored the country and love of Ethiopia. The legacy internal boundary systems our ancestors did for us is the DNA character that unites and makes us one Nation. TPLF's genetic engineering of the Ethiopian legacy crafting to exclusively benefit one group is the cause of the problem. Honestly, there is no body as foolish as TPLF. Why? Why would on earth create artficial ethnic/tribal regions. One of the most artificial was "'Oromiyaa"", a size larger than Tigary 6 or 7 times out of the blue. This itself was lethal for TPLF, the same goes to all the fake tribal federation.

The answer to your question is the following:
- To hide the extent of crises in Tigray specially ethnic cleansing in West Tigray
- Afraid of Tigray youth going to Sudan and come back organized, trained and armed
- Part of the genocide ( starve and kill Tigrayans)

As far as I know there were no Amhara displaced from West Tigray during TPLF time. I am a witness that all Ethiopians were living together in peace. You know very well that Ethiopia was restructured during TPLF/EPRDF time along ethnicity, culture and shared history. Tigray lost huge land to Afar. The Amhara and Oromia states were born out of that. Metekel was part of Gojjam, Shuwa was given partly to Amhara and partly to Oromia. Wello was given partly to Tigray, partly to Amhara and partly to Afar. Hence, the issue we have in West Tigray and South Tigray is every where in Ethiopia and solved as a package .
