Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church has cut its umbilical cord with Axum and Tigray when it supported and blessed Abiy Ahmed's genocidal War on Tigray and failed to show solidarity with its flock in Axum after the massacre in November. Last week the Mekele Eparchy Orthodox Church called on the Holy Synod to officially apologize to Tigray people. That apology will never come through. Let's see with whom the Mekele Eparchy Orthodox Church will align itself in time.
