A country has no replacement, just like a mother, so defend your country till the end. If you have given up on your country, then you are no more complete, half a person.
Ask yourself why this guy on the photo is kneeling down and kissing the ground of his country's soil? Think about if he didn't have a place to return to, what would it look like? There are many around the world that don't have a place to call home and return to.
