Ethiopia’s ‘simmering civil war’ threatens to erode economic recovery prospects!!

Post by gearhead » 12 Mar 2021, 15:54

KEY POINTS

*According to a recent UN update, more than 2.2 million people have been displaced and allegations of human rights abuses by security forces have drawn international condemnation.

*On Wednesday, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken called for an international investigation into the fighting between the region's former ruling Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) and the Ethiopian National Defence Force (ENDF) and its allies.

*The continuation of conflict presents a further roadblock to an economy ravaged by the Covid-19 pandemic. The IMF has forecast 0% GDP growth in real terms in 2021.

Blinken is lost. What is to investigate?
The tegarus were living comfortably untill they themselves initiated the war by massacreing sleeping ethio troops, stealing their arms and chasing them bu*tt naked to cross Eritrean borders.
So, what ever happen after that is the fault of tegarus. The thing is, their actions caused the loss of ethio, Amhara troops lives. So, who is responsible for real. A losing gumbler can't ask his money from the casino. He needs to go home with his tail fucked between his legs.

I am sure Blinken's call is with regard to the plight of Tigrian civilians, which venom-conditioned eritreans and their ገቡ troops have repeatedly failed to distinguish. So too, their is now ample evidence that this inability to distinguish between the two might have rubbed off on the vindictive amharas who makeup a large part ethiopian army contingency.

Of course the call will fall on deaf ears, lest there is a direct action on Eritrea and a staunch economic pressure on ethiopia. The political isolation is not just that of tigray but of the entire ethiopia to the so called andargachew transitional roadmap written to the liking of eritrea.

Ethiopia is a defacto an eritrean colony from which the world is starting to react.
