But November 24, 2020's report from the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) provides a more detailed account, accusing the Tigrayan youth group known as "Samri" of targeting non-Tigrayan seasonal labourers working on sesame and sorghum farms in the area. It is because “ collective graves” do not exist in Axum.

The priest is stating that there was no death in and around the church of ማርያም ጽዮን። Because there was war, yes, there were casualties elsewhere in Tigrai, but none in the church and its vicinity as confirmed by the high priest of the Church.
