The west seems to have conveniently ignored the glaring truth why the conflict in Tigrai started to begin with. They are so unwilling to see the truth and only intensifying the pressure against the Government for reasons that are beyond the obvious. This shows how TPLF has been the darling of the West no matter how brutal and dictatorial regime it had run in its 27 long years of rule had been.
The billions of dollars siphoned from the Ethiopian coffer is now being used to buy influence in Washington and Europe. The false accusations of genocide which is reported to have involved about 200 people in Axum is more amplified than the thousands of ENDF members who were slaughtered in their sleep when TPLF went on its insurrectionary adventures and the the hundreds that it massacred in Maikardar and Humera. The west, as we witnessed during TPLF's 27 long years reign of terror, was so regrettably muted in even acknowledging the human right abuses and never lifted a finger to meaningfully chastise the terror group.
What is more so disturbing is, there are believed to be some elements in the current administration who are sleepless for fear that they could also lose their power without the support from TPLF. These power players are putting the country at great danger of an all out civil war in their reckless actions.
