Ethiopia has changed, never to look back to the nightmare of the recent past

Saliha Sami used to sing about Oromo being a slave of Ethiopia and her lyrics reflected such position in many of her songs.
Her Ex-Husband, Kemer Yousouf, another well known Oromo singer, sang in his one of musics about "Menelik Binensa" (Menelik is a wild-Bist), perhaps to imply that he decimated the Oromo people. All these are now things of the past. Roll forward to 2021 here is glory of Adawa and its owners by his own ex-wife, Saliha Sami.
Here is Saliha Sami's newest video clip, a tribute to Adawa. I said on this forum in the past that you can't praise Adawa, without praising the father of Adawa, who is Emperor Menelik II of Ethiopia, the founding father of modern Ethiopia.
Exremists, RIP.
Glory of Ethiopia is here now.

Were they misled or brainwashed to demonize Minilik? lets hope they are not borderline characters and do not backflip.

Defend the truth, I welcomed their change of heart but deep inside everybody asks this question why now? what changes overnight? As Thiago puts it if they change overnight and what is the guarantee they do not flip back to destroying the Minilik statue. Lots of blood spilled because of this.
Again, we well come the good gesture but it will be nice to hear the reason why behind more than a good gesture. Our enemies are the ones who do not like our unity and keep us divided in ethnic line, language, and economic disparity that exist everywhere but they want to make endemic to our country Ethiopia.
As we are witnessing the westerns are up in arms and disinformation to bring back the TPLF junta apartheid-like regime again that we throw to its grave because they were the main beneficiary of the looted money and sovereignty by TPLF.

There is no change of heart at all.
What I see on the clip was attributing everything to Oromo which is what agames did for 27 years. And Area without Menilik is like a child without a father. How can one dismis the grand architect, vthe emperor who envisioned it all, went in person and make it happen.

It is a celebration of Oromo Ethiopian contribution in the fight against Italian invaders at ADWA. As long as a unifying string of Ethiopian patriotism goes through them all and vilify no other Ethiopian contribution in anyway --it is a change in the right direction . True the grand architect of the Adwa war was Menelik in mobilizing Ethiopians from all corners of Ethiopia, that no one can take that from him. It is engraved in a Black Gold to be cherished by all black people of the world. He transcended all the tribal and ethnic barriers to claim his place on behalf of all black people 125 years a go. No one can pull him down from that pinnacle .

She is such a lame cultureless Galla always replicating Amhara culture for what reason do Gallas even have culture? The horses are gurages amharas awis and welaytas Menelik would have won adwa just by his 100s of cannons alone even your hancalu is a big lame lair menelik never rode on a donkey he rode on horses. The Shewa Amharas have 1000s of horses even Entoto (which is historically amharas) menelik in fact is half Oromo

Meneliks Oromo body Guard lol

I think folklore artists sing about things that they hear from country folks. I remember watching on the internet an interview with the late Dr. Nagasso Gidada about Atse Menelik II. He was so hesitant to answer a simple question, which was to say some good things he may have done for our people or something to that effect. I kept thinking if that level of hesitancy to answer that simple question was born from a lifetime experience in both Ethiopia and Europe or if it was based on a learned analysis of history.
I have been also thinking about what Ethiopia's folklore might have been between the time of Adwa and when some of his generation of students came of age. I imagined it might have been closer to this new folklore in Afan Oromo by Saliha Sami than many that came out in the past many years. I don't know if it exists in recordings or as written material based on oral traditions. If it exists, it would be interesting to compare with this one.
