Eritrea's delegation composed of Foreign Minister Osman Saleh and Presidential Adviser Yemane Ghebreab met today in Khartoum President of Sudan's Sovereign Council, General Al Burhan, & delivered message from President Isaias Afwerki regarding relations between Sudan & Ethiopia.


The Delegation also conveyed the message to PM Hamdock. In his letter, President Isaias stressed the need to overcome the differences between the two neighbours amicably & patiently. President Al Burhan & PM Hamdock expressed their appreciation for Eritrea's continued initiative.

President Al Burhan and PM Hamdock further reaffirmed Sudan's determination to peacefully solve temporary difficulties, develop strong ties with Ethiopia and work for regional cooperation.

The Eastern Premier Soccer League (EPSL) welcomes Michael Seium as the Communications Director for the League



Arlington, VA (Friday, February 19,2021) – The Eastern Premier Soccer League (EPSL) welcomes Michael Seium as the Communications Director for the League. Michael Seium is an accomplished Television sports/news Journalist with years of experience at the local national and International levels.

Michael Seium is a former 3 sport athlete in high school as well as a college soccer scholarship athlete at Francis Marion University. After college Michael got his start in broadcast media at local television stations in the Florence/Myrtle Beach market covering news, sports & in creative services where he was an Addy award winner for his television station’s sports promotion & other commercials. Michael went on to cover as a reporter/producer the 1994 US National soccer team for a weekly magazine show known as Soccer 94 on Home Team Sports before the World Cup held in the USA.

Following a stint in Baltimore, Maryland with the local FOX-News station, he went on to work on Capitol Hill for the COX-Broadcasting Network covering news for top TV markets around the USA owned and operated by COX as a photojournalist. He then took on a Management roll for The Washington News Network a national private TV bureau serving major TV stations from the USA and around the world before heading to help launch a new International English broadcast center in Washington D.C. where he contributed technically while producing stories for the sports department.

Following a three-year stint with the International news network, Michael began consulting as a Producer. He worked for the same news company within the Sports channel sector covering major sports events such as the NBA, NASCAR, NHRA, World Challenge Soccer, ATP Tennis, The Pan American games in Guadalajara, Mexico, conventions that impacted major sports events as well as many different sports news and feature stories. Mike went back to college and earned a Master Degree in International Sports Management with flying colors. He earned a [deleted] laude distinction from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. He also taught Communications 101 at GMU while completing his masters. Mike’s reaction to being a part of the EPSL team;

I am truly excited to join in this new venture which brings new and fresh ideas for the growth of the beautiful game here in the USA. The EPSL and its innovative methods are what we need to allow opportunities for everyone who excels in the beautiful game.

He went on to add that the

League’s objectives and Vision are important for soccer teams seeking to move up the ladder of success. Similar to most international leagues, EPSL’s belief in the pyramid system of promotion & relegation is an important piece of the puzzle. It opens doors for competition at the highest level all the way to the US open Cup.

As a former college soccer player with years of media communication and Public Relations experience Michael will add a lot of value to the Eastern Premiere Soccer League. Michael is a member of the United Soccer Coaches and also a FIFA voting member for players & coaches of the year in international football.


Mid Atlantic Commissioner Andy Salandy expressed his thoughts on the addition of Michael Seium.

I am so excited to have a man of Michael's pedigree and stature in the field of sports journalism and media communications on board with us in the EPSL. Michael is a former college player with a deep knowledge and passion for the game of soccer. His national and international media connections will help us get our EPSL message out to the entire country and beyond. Michael is a very humble individual and will be a tremendous asset to us in the EPSL because he writes with authenticity and wants what's best for the development of U.S. soccer. He is truly a great fit for the EPSL because our philosophies align and I look forward to having the continued privilege of working on a day to day basis with such a distinguished gentleman.

About the Eastern Premier Soccer League

Formed in 2020, the EPSL is a 501(c) non-profit Unlike other national and regional leagues, the clubs and feeder leagues will participate in governance including the establishing of fees, prize money, and schedule in order to keep costs down and minimize travel. The EPSL is looking to establish agreements with other local leagues as either a promotion/relegation feeder league or through a cooperative league agreement to preserve and maintain the relevancy of elite local leagues by marketing as members of the EPSL. Through either pro/rel or this association of leagues, local leagues can collectively market themselves as entry points to higher level playing opportunities and leagues of choice for competitive amateur soccer.

In 2020 EPSL has reached historical feeder league agreements with four elite amateur soccer leagues in the Cosmopolitan Soccer League (CSL) in the New York metropolitan area, New Jersey’s Garden State Soccer League (GSSL), the New England Champions League (NECL), and the Baltimore, MD/Washington, DC based Maryland Major Soccer League (MMSL) to establish the first regional based multi-league promotion and relegation system in the United States. The CSL, GSSL, NECL, and MMSL have produced US Open Cup and National Amateur champions and have some of the top amateur teams in the United States so reaching agreements with these elite leagues is an exciting milestone in the history of US Soccer.

The EPSL is also an affiliate of the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) and EPSL clubs will earn the right to compete in the NISA Independent Cup against NISA professional clubs. EPSL clubs are also affiliated with the US Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA), through their state associations and, as such, will be eligible to participate in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup qualifying rounds, the US National Amateur Cup and state and regional cup competitions.
