We all hear that Eritrea is a failed state and Isaias is a worthless dictator but why did he commands so much respect and interest? I do believe Isaias
single handedly saved Ethiopia if not the horn of Africa. But why so match interest? Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia and middle east countries were not only watching but translating the interview live. Why? A president of small and so called failed state, Eritrean leader gets to get so powerful and demanded that kind of attention. why??????????

It is probably because Eritrean soldiers are committing War Crimes in Tigray and the world knows that the longer they stay, the worse the suffering will be. You have to remember that the Tigray War changed the the pecking order in the Horn. The world knows Abiy cannot order Eritrea to leave Tigray. Abiy has came out a lot weaker than any Ethiopian leaders before him. Isaias can replace him with his Plan B anytime. Isaias has become the modern-times Niguse Negest of Horn of Africa. You can notice Ethiopians grudgingly acknowledge that these days.
