I think to have heard that the birth place of Laureate Tsegaye Gebremedhin is the place called Ilamu Goromti, near Ambo town, in West-Showa zone of Oromia region.

The place is to be even more known now as the First Lady of the Country just set the foundation of a new high-school that is said to be built within the next 7 months, the last in the series of schools she has already built around the country.

I didn't see this video when I posted the FB-Message above.

In this video almost all the speakers, including the First Lady of Ethiopia, said explicitly that the lying of the foundational concrete to build the secondary school in the place is in fact in consideration of a tribute to the birth place of Laureate Tsegaye Gebremedhin.

This is a great deal, in my view.



The building of the school is going to be financed exclusively by the gains from the selling of the book "Medemer" and it is part of the First Lady's nation wide initiative to build as many as possible schools around the country.
