Yes, one of the lowest per capita car ownership, but one of the highest per capita "political activists"

Although Ethiopia has one of the lowest per capita ownership rates in the world, deadly traffic accidents are fairly common, with the blame put on bad roads, reckless driving, a flawed driving license issuance system and lax enforcement of safety rules.
Because of our high rate of per capita "political activists" we also suffer under lower productivity and through that lower life standards, including lack of car ownership and other basic necessities.
We also lack the basic necessities, including access to potable water, paved roads, schools, health clinics and many more similar infrastructure developments, just because we are high rated in terms of our number of "political activists". Our people are suffering under this anomaly.
This is specially true of the Amhara region of the country, which has got the highest rate of educated people but still lagging behind in terms of developmental initiatives in the region, so no wounder that such accidents occur again and again in the region.
