The police budget is divided in ethnic line especially to benefit the Southern Galla as they explained it special benefit from Addis. We have one and only one law in the country then why do we need a Gall police commission in Addis Ababa? why do we need a third like private police force in Addis Ababa? We do not need to build a police force for every ethnicity in Addis Abbaba.

The current police force should be defunded actually and restructured based on their knowledge of the city and community. When i was a kid police man/women were my friends father and mother. We know them they were our neighbors we do not afraid of them because they were part of our community. That should be the way to go. Especially the police force should look like it community then it can protect it. However, now the mayor doesn't know a hoot about Addis probably this was her first time to be in big city. So the problem is to disband this alien police forces and send them to their local region and try to attract Addis youth to join the police force.
