Obbo Halafi,
It seems that you never learn, so allow me to address some of your points, with some reminders:
1-The soldiers of the derg army, regardless of the ethnicity they belonged to, represented themselves & the government, NOT the entire ethnic groups they belong to. Man is responsible for his own sins, not the sins of others. Otherwise, would you like to be where Sebhat Nega or Seyoum, is, simply because you too are a Tigrayan? I doubt that you'd say ''yes.''
2. Nobody can force you, or the tigrayans, to be Ethiopian or not, but the fact is: tigray will either be ruled by a puppet government, that takes orders from Obbo Abiy and perhaps even, Obbo Isayas of Eritrea, OR you guys will wage a successful liberation war and bring article 39 to the table and use it-which is most likely to occur? Let's be honest here. I'll let you, and others, dwell on those two options, and think deeply about it. Take your time.
3. Tigray did not beat the Derg alone. Far from it. They won, after coordinating their efforts with other liberation movements, especially, their father, the elderly, the militarily-superior, Shabia or EPLF. Combine that, with the fact that the derg made huge mistakes militarily, that led to their own soldiers being demoralized and unwilling to fight, and the loss of the support of the masses, and you have the reasons why tplf, among other armies, were successful fighting mengistu.
Remember! The Amhara and Oromo farmers, did not oppose the TPLF/EPRDF as it advanced to the capital, the amhara farmers even welcomed them, fed them, and supported them. Today, the opposite is the case. No one, from Amhara to Oromia, would welcome the tplf, and that alone would make it impossible for such a thing to occur again.
Basically: the political climate/situation back then was perfect, for the tplf/eprdf to come to power, but such a climate and situation does not exist today. Today, thanks to your TPLF, Tigray is surrounded by enemies, and those who do not have sympathy for them, due to the innumerable amount of crimes the tplf and their soldiers committed. I do not support abiy, to be honest, but he is a product of your tplf/eprdf regime, as is the other former parties of the eprdf, tplf made them, to be slaves or puppets, and those puppets got tired of being puppets, wishing to become the puppet controllers instead, and that's what we have now ruling Ethiopia.
4. What is happening in tigray today, is sad for sure, and I condemn it, but your tplf did the same thing to oromia since 1991, and in the somali region, perhaps elsewhere, and back then you were quiet, and even telling tplf to do more and more crimes to our people; so you reap what you sow, as the saying goes. If you plant corn, you cannot expect to get grain, as the saying goes-or something to that effect.
Hayyee,
Nagattii.
