In Tigrinya we call it ታህዲድ ፍርቂ ሓይሊ, loosely translated "a false expression of strength," or a bluff, and it is what the agame have been displaying ever since their spine was shattered into 11 pieces the moment their invasion of Eritrea ended tragically for the invaders. Their intended audience for their bluff was the Ethiopian people, because the Eritrean people are not known to fall for a bluff, and especially ones from the coward, emasculated agame. 
Seye Abraha quickly fled to the US soon after he was briefed about the Junta's plans to attack the Northern command. He knew the plan was a disaster that could potentially backfire on the Junta. So he chose to watch the self-destruction from far away-- from the comfort of his living room in the US-- and when necessary shed a few crocodile tears for his deceased junta comrades. I'm sure the Junta who are still on the run are envious of Seye who's made it out of the hell hole alive.
President Isaias speaking of the Junta said, "they are the most coward people I have ever seen in my entire life!"
