Yes, the population explosion in Addis Ababa and also the growing living standard has brought bigger challenges to the city's infrastructure in areas of water supply, electricity, transportation etc. Of course without electricity we are done. Although many real estate apartments (like the one below) have their own generators, these are not to be operated everyday but in times of need. A fast infrastructure development that can meet the fast and growing demand of the city is one of the main challenges of the coming city administrations.
