I appreciate your commitment to promoting free speech. But all of the stories that you presented about the Ethiopian intelligence capability and Ethiopian ness are wrong or misguided even if there is some truth in it, but the narrative is wrong to paint the Ethiopian intelligence as an incompetent agency I mean the one during Mengistu and in the early years of TPLF. One thing should be understood, intelligence is intertwined with the countries economical capability. However, the strongest intelligence agency in Africa was the Ethiopian intelligence service, especially During the Derg region. The Ethiopians counteract the lack of economic disadvantage by the Ethiopian patriotism in the intelligence services. Mossad, yes they were in Haileselsie's protection group called " Leue Kabine" which was not intelligence that was an organization that protects the king's power not the countries interest. However, the real Intelligence service started to take shape when Haileselasie came back from exile. He was awakened and started to reorganize the department. Before, Derg there was not intelligence service it was under the justice department called የመረጃ ማሰባሰብያ አና የመረጃ ማመዛዘኛ ኮሚቴ and usually doing police investigation work.

I do not want to contradict you (Seyoum) in public because I like most of your programs and commitment. I believe someone is feeding you some wrong narrative about this topic.
Israel mostly used bluffing as a tactic for many years as if they are in control of the world but that is a false narrative just to keep their people fell united. Just to put something in perspective the head of " Leue Kabine" located in front of Orbis in Addis Abab building is built by the German SS not buy the American or Israel for the king.

my point is that all intelligence services for sure have some moles inside and yes Ethiopian intelligence was infiltrated at a higher level around the fall of the Derg Besides that Ethiopian intelligence was the most competent and feared in Africa even by many Arab countries. It was one of the international players in the intelligence ( underworld) and generated millions of dollars worth of cooperation from many countries in exchange for information. Because of its strategic positioning, having OAU, ECA, and many international organizations the foreign intelligence department ( you called it counterintelligence but it is called positive intelligence) like the FBI is counter and CIA is positive or preemptive action. Ethiopia was the main hot spot of the world underworld and market for intelligence because of the competency and patriotic members of the organization.

Most of the peoples that you mentioned were not a member of the organization so whatever they got is a piece of second-hand information. Ethiopian intelligence even had the misinformation department to direct and influence public opinion. Now in social media what activists do. So whatever outsiders know or feel about the organization was the result of this action. The only issue that I found was the lack of the freedom of information act so that to release some information to be public after a while, so that to stop this kind of miss guided information for-profit providers and for the future generation to know the truth not that narrative of someone at a distance.

Everytime intelligence tried to re-MAKE a government it has failed, but not to the collosal level of the current MAGA (make amhara great again) movement has failed!!As the catastrophy magnifies, each branch of the conspiracy will move CYA; betrayals which have already started will peak as the pressure intensifies. There is no CIA or MOSAD involvement here but MAGA persons in these institutions using the resources of these organizations to their end. The fallout is going to be massive.
