Re: 50 years ago, Jimi Hendrix bought the cry baby guitar
The other Guitarist to popularize the cry baby is none other than Jimmy Page. There you have the three best guitarists of all time in my book.
Re: 50 years ago, Jimi Hendrix brought the cry baby guitar
Here's another legend also known for making his guitar cry - RIP.
Re: 50 years ago, Jimi Hendrix brought the cry baby guitar
And as one stargazer put it
"Shame on Tom Petty...may he rest in Peace... Jeff Lynne, Steve Winwood and the Hall of Fame, I know this was to honor of George Harrison or the Beatles, but... they invited Prince, some other douche did a lame [deleted] guitar solo and everyone gave him the silence and respect. Prince comes out and Tom Petty starts singing over him? WTF? Shame on him and not once but throughout his solo, they played louder and sang over him. They were in the fog Prince was on top of his game and it was killing him, he was The Best guitar /musician of all time without a doubt . Lastly, my guitar gently weeps for George, but it screams for Prince"

Re: 50 years ago, Jimi Hendrix brought the cry baby guitar
Guys,
The great blue guitarist, Eric Clapton shrines Prince as the best guitarist of all time. Eric is regarded as the third best guitarist of all time, and some even place him, second after Jimi Hendrix. My problem with prince is that he belittled the best guitarist of all time, Jimi Hendrix.
For me,
1. Jimi Hendrix
2. Jimmy Page
3. Stephen Ray Vaughan

This guy is the best all round performer and pop music composer. His act is generally rated as the best performance at the Woodstock festival.

This is the first time I hear this. If this is true, then he was dead wrong, as Jimi Hendrix was the undisputed greatest guitarist of all time.My problem with prince is that he belittled the best guitarist of all time, Jimi Hendrix.
Make sure you watch this.

Somali man,
Can you imagine, Hendrix died at the age of 27, and what he had accomplished during that period of time.
Prince, interviewed by Rolling Stones magazine, this is what he quoted as saying,

That’s really the only thing we have in common,” he said. Had music critics cited the work of Carlos Santana, he might have gone along with it.
“If they really listened to my stuff, they’d hear more of a Santana influence than Jimi Hendrix,” Prince said. “Hendrix played more blues; Santana played prettier.” Prince blamed part of the problem on critics who didn’t play guitar (and thus couldn’t know).

Yep!
In addition, it's also worth reminding that Jimi Hendrix started recording as an artist in his own right at the end of 1966 and died in 1970, while Prince started his career in 1978 and died in 2016. Therefore, Prince lasted 38 years, while Jimi Hendrix lasted less than four years - producing much more memorable music than Prince did. if Jimi Hendrix lived just four more years (leave alone lasting 38 years as Prince did), Prince would have been seen as an apprentice compared to Jimi Hendrix, and no one would ever dare comparing the two of them.
Thanks for sharing.
