Look at the empty roads in Mekele, it is obvious that 99% of the cars are stolen and taken to ar'tera and qomiche kilil.

Normally Mekele roads used to be super-crowded with cars, now you can see no more than 10 cars in a zone of the city. The UNB is seeking 2000 trucks to transport emergency food aide to the 2 million internally displaced Tigreans alone, but because all trucks in Tigray are stolen the country as a whole and the UN are facing a difficult and very expensive dilemma. On top of that 65 of Ethiopian dry-goods truck drivers were Tigreans and most are dispersed all over Tigray, Ethiopia, and the region, thus hard to retrieve in short time. 75% of Ethiopia's liquid-goods truck drivers are also Tigreans. It takes a long time to train such experience long-distance heavy truck drivers.
