Ethiopia's leaders were blinded by the support they had from UAE. UAE is an Arab country and will support Sudan as it is also an Arab country.
Sudan has more technology and support from USA and The Arab League. Egypt has more empathy from the international community.

Abiy Ahmed Ali should not have allowed Eritrea to attack Tigray. Eritrea is nothing without the support of Egypt or Saudio Arabia or UAE. The attack on Tigray is that of crime against humanity. EU, USA, Egypt and other countries will drag Abiy Ahmed Ali to court. Ethiopians cannot save him and his hate against Tigray cannot save. Tigray may loose some people, but Tigray will be able to recover and assert itself.

There will be war. Sudan and Egypt want to turn Addis Ababa to ashes. They are against Ethiopia as a country. It is not about Nile Dam. Egypt and Sudan well know that The Dam will not affect their water needs. Egypt and Sudan want war against Ethiopia to stop Ethiopia from dominating East africa. Sudan and Egypt seemed worried that Ethiopia might destabilize their countries by sending troops to kill or genocide their population/dismantle their factories, schools and hospitals.
