Please download and read this 150-years-old book, titled "Abyssinia & Nubia", written by Scottish writer Rev Michael Russell. You will be surprised to know how much land qomiches and other colonial miscreants took away from Tigray.. Back then Tigray was definitely the largest state in Ethiopia.
The idiotic weyane leaders should have studied Tigray history before they re-carved out the present day borders of the kilils. Tigray lost vast territories during every successive regime in the last 130 years, including losing over 15 % of what Tigray was during Derg versus what it became during EPRDF regime.
The entire Siemien ( pure Tigrigna name, which means,name them) was part of Tigray, actually, Tigray stretched past Embagergis, which is very close to Gonder city itself.
