This is according to the website counter punch however this is a hypothetical narrative to justify why the headless human bone and femur with a knife mark found in from and inside the cave.
There is another piece of information too. This seems very convincing because of its timeline and human nature. The TPLF junta retreats to the cave in huge number some are wounded and some are too old to move that is why they want to hide in the cave. Since they have abounded their foods, medicine and sanitation and communication equipment together with transport. There was no rank and file Inside of the cave anymore, everybody is responsible for their own survival. And fighting and animosity, blaming each other and fighting flairs now and then. Outside the Amhara militia and ENDF are constantly firing and monitoring and asking them to surrender. After a few days, they run out of food and some of the wounded started to rot and smell. The old one and the weak one want to surrender but the strong one who blamed the old ones for the war do not want them to go out basically kept them, prisoner.
As the day progress into weeks, the food shortage becomes critical. Some TPLF members who had experience in brutality under the leaders who become nobody in the cave were targeting the old leaders. They killed them and sever their head and carved the flesh and cooked and fed the remaining. In the very beginning, they target the weak and the hated ones but as they get used to it they started to pick one another based on their origins mostly those are from Adwa were consumed. The consumers considered themselves as a survivor and brave note as a savage and Canibal. It is imperative to be able to catch one or two who survived and tell us how exactly they did it. The question is why the second information is more convincing and true?
When we analyze the first information, it is known that the TPLF junta when they are running away to hide they had their weapons in their hand. So when the Hyena clan came to attack them they can shoot them and save themselves

Therefore, it will be safe to conclude that the bones found was not the remnants of the Heyna. Actually, it looks like the knife marks are made during carving the flesh from the bones for human consumption. Those who are captured gave their blood and urine samples for analysis. If traces of those drugs to be found then the case of cannibalism for survival will change to cannibalism for the love of human flesh and the legal proceeding will be different. Also, it will be investigated if this behavior existed before when TPLF was in power and how widespread it is.
The reason why this case is so gravely dangerous is that the mass killing in Mycadra, Guraferda, Metekel in Diredawa were not just killing there was mutilation and collecting trophies of the human body like male genitalia, women breast. Of course, this kind of killing and collecting trophies was very rarely practiced by some tribes of Galla. but during the TPLF this kind of very gruesome murders using Machetes and Dismembering body parts occurred much more frequently.
These cases and the current government's unwillingness to investigate and cover-up.The fact that some of the perpetrators are protected by government forces.
