None of my business to interfere in Oromos matter. It’s their right to choose whatever script they want, be it Latin, Arabic, Hanzi or Kanji. Our neighbor, Somalia, used Arabic before changing to Latin alphabets. Turkish was written in Uyghur, Cyrillic, Arabic, & Greek before it was changed to Latin by Ataturk. Likewise, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, & Azerbaijani have recently switched from Cyrillic to Latin characters. Indonesia & Niger-Congo have also switched from Arabic to Latin. Although I also tend to have a sentimental attachment to the Heavenly as you do, I recognize that others can decide for themselves. Rather than asking the Oromos to use Amharic scripts, you should ask yourself why you can’t speak the 2nd most spoken language in Ethiopia.

Well, thats right but you missed one point. These people have not stopped from borrowing foreign alphabets. Now they are working tirelessly to destroy Ethiopian alphabet. Even some went to say that they dont want to hear the name Ethiopia and anything that binds Ethiopians. So, how can you agree with these uncivilized immigrants who claim anything and everything that are not theirs. These are idi@ts who have no any clue on what they are doing. Unless these savages are eliminated, Ethiopia will never have peace to progress and develop. They dont have any history, they are immigrants. Period

Hmmm....You're here mixing apples and oranges. I expressed my opinion regarding people who want to use latin script in-lieu of the Heavenly.
Now you changed the discussion and want them not only abandon latin but also leave their country. Really? Who are you to label others as immigrant and yourself as native? I suspect you're living abroad, sentimentalizing the counternarratives of Trump's anti-immigration bias. But here you're telling your fellow Ethiopians to leave their country. It's cruel and silly to label 40% of the Ethiopian population as immigrant. If you are asking me if there are bad apples among Oromos, I would say YES. There are bad apples among the Heavenly and Golden as well. But as the few Woyane morons never represented Tigreans, the finger Oromo elites don't represent all Oromos either. Collective defamation is dumb.

@Selam, any person has the right to pick and learn any language or use any alphabet to use it for his/her language. But this person cannot impose his will to destroy what is being served by others. Thats what the tribal idi@ts are trying to do now. I am sure you have heard what Shimelis had said about this and what others of his likes are doing as well. I agree with you on your bad Apple analogy. But how would this analogy work when a bad apple leads the wannabe apples? Wouldnt the bad apple turn other apples bad ? Thats what's going on.
As to your question who am I to call others immigrants, let me ask you in a simple twist : who are they to call others settlers ??? If history were to be thoroughly studied, as hinted by some historical evidences, the ones I call them immigrants were not original settlers of the very area they claim as theirs. Your 40% estimate tells that you might be a victim of their hearsay rehearsal. These wolega idi@ts arw sick people they never stop inventing any thing to claim everything.
A responsible citizen of a country doesnt deny what his or her country posses. I am not the want here to deny their Ethiopiannes, they themselves are denying it. And they are not few bad apples as you try to sell. No, they many in numbers who are anti-Ethiopia. May I ask you if you ever have seen a single oromo holding Ethiopian flag in any of the mass demonstrations they made or even the ones organized by the regional leader??? Not at all. These are kind of people you do not want to hear their Ethiopiannes questioned. Why do you thing these very people cry day and night to make oromgna as the first or official language of the country ??? Mind here,, these idi@ts want to keep over 75% of the country speechless or want to keep in the dark for the benefit of their 25% coverage. Why these same idi@ts fight for addis if they consider Addis is for Ethiopia and if they are Ethiopians??? These people are not the few bad apples. They are many in number who share this idea. Ethiopians never slaughter their own citizens,, never call their own people settlers as if they are original settlers. And with that all, you are trying to give me a lesson about Ethiopiannes.

No Oromian will require settlers to forcefully learn Afaan Oromo. It is only willy-nilly situation. It is just like every person in diaspora, i.e., everyone respects the law of the soil and dwell. How to develop Afaan Oromo is the right of Oromos only. As civilized nation, Oromos have no objection if habesha uses Geez script.
But note that the Geez has no potential to develop because of its property that commensurate with existing technology. Readers may notice the challenge to write in Amharic even in as short as the present lore by jirta in this thread.

The headline itself smells tribal, a TPLF cadre job. Learning language is a plus to anybody. I suspect Jirta’s being of TPLF cadre for a long time. Anyone of his one or two paragraphs have been designed to make wedge between Amharas and Oromos. His foul language has been purposely provocative.
In this headline he implied Oromos are not Ethiopians.
The TPLF cadres consider it an art to pretend who they are not.
But it is downright disgusting and counterproductive.
It is not “ shame” for Ethiopians to learn the Oromo language, or any other language.

My friend, regardless of what other wannabes say, my position is this: Oromos are as equally Ethiopian as I am and they can choose whatever language they think is appropriate for them notwithstanding my feelings or your feelings. I don't see any problem if Oromiffa also becomes a national language as far as I am concerned. It is actually a good thing to elevate two or more of our languages for public use. They are all our languages. If you still think Oromiffa would destroy "what is being served by others," then the Oromos will tell you on the flip side that the Heavenly has been destroying "what was being served by them."
All the "settlers" crap and anti-ethiopiawinet sentiment is planted by Woyane thugs and that would require a lot of patience and unlearning. I don't want to fall in their trap and go "eye for eye," invariably labeling all folks as immigrants even when they don't have anything to do with the demented facebook tigers, who oftentimes suffer from inferiority complex. Reading from the same textbook of hatred, Woyane rats themselves have recently renounced their Ethiopiawinet in public and championed for the destruction of the Heavenly. Does it mean all Tigreans should be also labeled as immigrant or anti-ethiopia?
I understand the on-line war and vexatious grievances that carries us all away from the core questions but despite what all alias jargons scribble and howl, Ethiopia will continue to prevail and the unbreakable bond between the Heavenly and Ethiopia will indefinitely persist because the long history of our nation is hinged on the bedrock of the men and women on the ground, not on facebook lunatics.

So the current problems are not really waged by Facebook bloggers. There are people on the ground, from low grade cadres to higjer officials, who are supporting criminals, killing innocent and unarmed civilians. Through out our history, there have been bandas and traitors on the ground as there are descent and humble human beings. Ordinary people were bowing to fascist italy as they were marching to Addis along with the baggage and mortar carriers and guides. Unlike some extremist Amhara portrayed it, they came from all walk of life: Amhara, Oromo, and Tigre. In today's facebook politics, they would be crucified prior to any trial because nowadays every ignorant person sees himself or herself as the savior of Ethiopia. They think the country would collapse in a day if they don't tweet.
I am not a politician and I don't play as such. I have seen decent ordinary people as well as looters and monsters of extraterrestrial order in all tribes. Hodam Amharas were massacring their own people until recently. Woyanes have been incarserating and killing their own citizens. Oromos are slaughtering each other as we speak. So don't tell me there is a clear line to be drawn between those who enduringly love Ethiopia to death and those who betray her. The green-yellow-red flag with the satanic star was denounced by many Ethiopians until recently. People now wave it all over the place and applaud the army that bears the same cursed symbol. Politics isn't cut in stone. It's contextual.

There are bad apples among the Heavenly and Golden as well. But as the few Woyane morons never represented Tigreans, the finger Oromo elites don't represent all Oromos either. Collective defamation is dumb.

Period

Woyanes have been incarserating and killing it's own citizens.
Hey,
It doesn’t matter how many times you swore to deny fact and possibly look like genuine and innocent, i.e., like what you wrote in your first paragraph. Let me pick up one of your phrases from your 2nd paragraph and show your bias. You stated “The green-yellow-red flag with the satanic star was denounced by many Ethiopians until recently. People now wave it all over the place and applaud the army that bears the same cursed symbol.” But the fact is otherwise for me.
I know the Oromo nation (populous at least 52% of the Ethiopian empire population) prefer the Red Green Red color Oromo freedom flag with its Odaa at the center circled with stars next to none. And then Gada flag followed even by the OPDO flag. Only there after appears the Fed Ethiopia’s flag on the scene. I do feel the people of Qimant, Tigraway, Agew and southerns all alike have no intention to fly colonial flag. The flag you stated legally belongs to the current Amhara region. Historically it belonged to Abyssinia and settler Amhara regime. And as such it has no relevance to the nearly all nations in contemporary Ethiopia. So who is the people you quote flying the sign of slavery? You shouldn’t even bring this into argument. So, I hope even you saw that you are fraudulent person with hastily conclusion.
Also know that my primary objective isn’t to keep in pace the old fabric Ethiopia in place. Hence the context of my politics operates under such guiding facts.

Kichamam Woyane - You mfkr again? Let me tell you this: if woyanes mistakenly carry the old green-yellow-red flag and parrot “Ethiopia! Ethiopia!” across Meskel Square, I would still distance myself from them. You’re all wicked and everything you say or touch turns rancid. Keep your blabbering coming, knowing that the exact opposite is always true. KIFU!
