Reports are coming out of our old country that includes the names of the goons on the top shelf of TPLF who were killed and captured. This is just another sad episode in our unabated history of violence. It really saddens me to keep hearing children of the same Mother Ethiopia have not found the plausible ways of finding the middle spot where differences in opinion would be resolved before they escalate into conflicts in which lives will be lost, Some among us seem to choose to remain rigid in our opinions/conviction with ‘mine or bust’ mentality. You add to that the demonic ideology of Marxism/Leninism to such rigid opinion then this happens. We heard it all. Those goons on the top echelons of the TPLF did honestly believe/still believe that they were the emancipators of all Oromos and Amharas that have a combined population of more than 80 million. They really believe in such twisted idea and have been poisoning their followers to believe so. You could have seen them saying that. We have seen and heard them telling us that ad nauseam for more than 30 years now. Such twisted idea drove them to look down on the rest of the population in that country. They even coined up a phrase ‘the gold/golden race to call themselves. They are created to be bullet proof. That pushed them to believe that they are the only ones who can prevail in the battle field. They even had the audacity to tell us boatload of stories how they used to beat the well armed soldiers of Mengistu with just archaic bolt action rifles. For them every Amhara and Oromo is so coward that he shakes in his boots just at the sight of a Tigrayan. They also believed in the lies they tell others that they ended up believing their own lies. They pilfered AK47’d and RPG’s from the nation’s arsenals and armed their ragtag followers with these stolen properties. They told the BBC, AFP, Reuters and Al-Jaeeda that they have a well trained and battle seasoned army of 250,000 fighters. Their self-hating commie who smoothed the road to power for them in 1991 recently told us the Derg could not defeat the TPLF during 18 years of war. Why does P.M. Abiy think he can succeed where Mengistu failed? That was a runaway exaggeration and lie they told us again and again which they ended up believing it. That was why they kept sneering at the PM when he traveled all the way to Mekele trying to bring them to their senses. But such commendable effort was futile. Elders consisting of community and religious leaders went all the way to Chairman Debre’s joint in their blessed effort to avert any bloodshed between brothers. But those goons did not even afford the respect those elders deserved in accordance to our legendary tradition. That is because the goons believed they were/are invincible created to rule unchallenged for a thousand years. What stupidity!! What arrogance!!! Now those who have survived so far will live the rest of their lives looking over their shoulders like a rattled up wildebeest. That is even if they will be able to continue to survive the chase by the Alula incarnate of their own. In many ways, good riddance!!!

I just opened your post and at the first instinct fehlt, after reading the part I highlighted, that you are talking about someone I also heard somewhere (over the internet) just today, simply because I also had the same feeling to what you said here in reaction.

It could be the guy is such a dumb, which I really doubt, or there is something cooking behind the scene against the great country of yours, mine, and of all the rest of us, and he could be on a mission to make a case for his side and mobilize the resources out there.

Ethiopia has got many enemies, but not many friends. She has one dependable support, though, who are her own children. We shouldn't let her down this time around as well.

There is a saying in Amharic, which goes like, those who didn't suspect from the onset have already lost (or something very similar in connotation).

For the record:
The first statement of US secretary of State was a clear understanding for the position of the Ethiopian Government after condemning the TPLF.

The first parliamentary addressing of Germany's minister of Foreign Affairs was also a clear condemnation of the TPLF Junta and its clear act of sedition against the state, just to mention few of those I saw during those days of over 2 months now.

And we need to ask ourselves about why those positions have been changed so quickly?

You've got it. We never heard of this trench coat commie until a short time before the London Conference in 1991. Where was he when former President Carter was doing his best to bring the raging civil war in the 1980's to a negotiated end? Suddenly he crawled out of his woodwork as a peace and king maker in 1991. The conclusion I had arrived shortly after that was this man is not on an assignment from the US State Department only in order to avert a pitched battle in the capital(which was also concerning to me and many others in our Diaspora) but I strongly believed he has another assignment from his own organization. That was how to haul the largest human trafficking in the history of the modern world and he succeeded after his orphans were allowed to march into Addis/Finfine unchallenged. I remember him moving his lying jaws right after the conclusion of the London Conference with 'No democracy, no financial aid'. For sure that dog don't hunt!!! Considering what took place just a few weeks after his adopted ragtags took the mantle of ruling the country alone where they mowed down peaceful demonstrators I was asking myself 'Was this guy mocking me or what with no democracy, no financial aid buncombe?'. You know what it is. Birds of a feather flock together, as the age old adage goes. One undercover commie looking after another!!! They were bosom buddies and that is why he is crying rivers now at their ultimate demise. His orphans thought they were invincible knowing they had dear commie friends like him where they murdered, maimed, jailed and let so many flee their beloved country for 27 years. They committed grievous crimes against their own fellow citizens and now, finally, they have grievously answered it. They denied dignified burials for political prisoners they captured in the bushes and finally they was nothing left of them to give them dignified burials. They are thrown into the dustbin of history and there is nothing, absolutely nothing, he can do to bring them back. Nothing even by way of cloning!!!

Many of our intellectuals are reluctant to speak up against individuals like this weasel because they are scared of being called ‘anti’ this or ‘anti’ that and badged as bigots. Now he is going to bed with sworn bigots of our own who are dreaming of founding a carved out republic on the shoulders of my people. I tell you what! They can keep on dreaming until the cows come home but that ain’t gonna happen. What this conniver may hope is that the old country will disintegrate and he will be able to send his cousins to the new carved out ‘republic’ and haul away whatever they put their hands on. We should all remember the fact that the old country is still diamond in the rough for connivers and looters to go wildly salivating. Just imagine this. What does he know about my Oromos and noble neighbors Amharas? What and since when? Now and suddenly he knows more than you and I. Again, our men and women of letters should speak up about this self-hating bigot who is roaming around with bigots among us. They should expect to be called anti this and anti that. People like him have found success in many innocent others in shutting them up from speaking the truth. But this time it involves that gem of the colored which we hold very dear to our hearts, a country passed on to us in one piece by our ‘illiterate’ fathers/mothers and grandfathers/grandmothers and we are supposed/expected to know much, much better!!!
