I remember the Dirty scam, Qoshasha, Tigryan interview General Aman Andom sister and persuaded her to claim she is Tigryan, not Eritrean.

Lice D,

The General's mother was Tigrayan. His father was Eritrean. Regardless, you judge the General on his own merits. He was a hero, more than that, he was a wonderful human being. That is his legacy. Surely, being an Eritrean does not make you a hero automatically, and being a Tigrayan does not necessarly make you a back stabber either.

General Andom was a good man. From Eritrean perspective, would the General be an asset or a liability to Eritrean people. I believe if the General had his way, Eritrea still would have been under Ethiopia in some kind of local autonomy arrangement. He had a great influence over the highland of Eritrea. Without the full participation of the highlanders, independence would have been impossible. Aman served as a senator in the Ethiopian parliament, but my questions is, what part of Ethiopia did he represent ? I believe, the negative and brutal actions of Mengistu contributed heavily toward the independence of Eritrea . Next independence day, perhaps Mengistu should attend !
