Is Abiy failing Ethiopia or waiting for his time? Let me say why .....
1) Handling crisis in the past three years:
It is obvious that the tribalists tplf and terrorist olf made sure that violence is a signature of Abiy adminstration. While Abiy had the opportunity to cut off both tplf and olf from the very beginning (when his public support is at peak and the enemies were in disarray), he chose to be silent and has demonstrated his lack of leadership. The enemies wanted to have Abiy of this image (incompetent) in the face of internal crisis. Whether it was by his choice or not, he undoubtedly failed into that trap. By his own account, hundreds (thousands?) of Violence's have taken place all over Ethiopia. What has he done in all of this ? Absolutely nothing! One may bring the decision made on tplf in Tigray. Even for that, he was absolutely passive and his security system was a total failure. Thanks to the Amhara special force, militias, and the Afar special forces, his @rz was saved. Because, had it not be these forces, the EDF couldn't be able to get out and became a winning force. The scenarios could be disastrous. If tplf had taken control of the northern command, Abiy could potentially be assassinated and the country could descend in total chaos. Btw, Eritrea should get unforgettable credits and would be remembered for generations to come as a reliable ally and friend of the people of Ethiopia. Obviously, Abiy should get credit for establishing the broken link between the two countries and help build trust between them.
2) Abiy's political inclination
Abiy is born from Ethnic politics and he is alleged to be one of the organizers of the erection of the Anhole Monument (the most stu..pid and hateful act of tplf's creation). In the face of series of massacres and genocides, we havent seen outrage and never took decisive leadership. On the other had, we have observed at several occasions and the facts on the ground that Abiy chose to close his eyes (or collaborate) on what the opdo aka olf is doing all over. Shimelis remains to be his right hand man and the king of corruption aka Takele Uma has got promotion to ministerial position. Addis Ababa is totally invaded with the trible of olf. He preaches Ethiopia but the facts on the ground contradicts. As Tamirat Negera recently said it, the olf tribe seem to have gotten the blessing of Abiy (most likely to promote olf tribe oromuma in the demis of others)
3) His position on contested lands or on the question of identity
He allowed the Sidama to have their own administrative region but prevented the Wolayta from similar request. He also pathetically tend to tell the people in wolkayt and raya to be ruled and slaughtered again by the tplf sympathizers, while history and the revolt of the people there shows in total collision with is thought. He seem to keep the two people (Amhara and Tigray) in perpetual conflict for the benefit of his olf tribes expansion and control of the country.
4) His profile as a unifying factor
There is no doubt that he has got a profile that no one seem to fit to his shoes at present. But as history repeats itself, unless he uses this best opportunity of his current position to free himself from OLF tribalists, he will be remembered like Meles, one of the most misguided evil person who missed the opportunity to make this country great.
5) the June 2021 election
I see both a danger and an opportunity from this election. The danger is that, people have been going through tribal frictions and the olf tribes are controlling the Abiy adminstration unfairly. From the very start, the olf tribes are in the run to control and claim anything that are not theirs. So, what would the election deliver from this environment. In addition, the situation in Beneshangul is more of a power play than a security matter. On the other hand, as some tend to argue, at the outset of this election, with the assumption that Abiy will have a big chance to win, he (Abiy) may be able to have a strong legal grip to pass his own agenda to unify the country by hopefully destroying the tribal politics. Ethiopia had been a good example for Africa and it is unfortunate that we have lost that leadership,, and even unwilling to accept good lessons learned (eg. the case of Rwanda and the plee of President Paul Kagame to distance from anything tribal)
4) His green legacy initiative
No doubt that no one would say the contrary other than applauding his good deed on this

Had PM Abiy went after the junta soon after he came to power, the war would have been fought in the streets of Addis Ababa and other major cities, placing the entire Ethiopian population at risk of a Rwandan-like genocide. I suggest you watch the video below. I have already watched it 8 times so far.

The difference between Amhara extrimists and Oromo counterparts is that while the former call someone they want to target first an OLF (tribalist) and then, on the second round, call for the elemination of the same, the latter on the other hand call every moving Amhara and sometimes even some moderate Oromos from the beginning a neftegna and declare should be eliminated. A clear divergence of tactics.
Talk is cheap, they say.
Endless self-contradictions in such a short paragraph.
"While Abiy had the opportunity to cut off both tplf and olf from the very beginning (when his public support is at peak and the enemies were in disarray)", this is a past tense, fait accompli, still come back and talk about "There is no doubt that he has got a profile that no one seem to fit to his shoes at present".
One thing I found helpful in your bluffings is that you came out to admit that "the situation in Beneshangul is more of a power play than a security matter" while your cohorts on this forum were defeaning us shouting it is all about hate for Amhara people, which is unfounded allegation. People on the ground have no issue to hate Amhara or anybody else for that matter in reality.
Re: Is Abiy failing Ethiopia or waiting for his time? Let me say why .....
Why Abiy is surrounded with tribalist oromos ? The likes of Lencho aka olf are his advisors
Re: Is Abiy failing Ethiopia or waiting for his time? Let me say why .....
the mutilating effects of madness of vanity of the amhara/gurage roadmap thieves is now readily visible; no one is following the defective leader's roadmap heist with looming war criminal charges; its illegal product PP is at an ideological crisis, which will spend 99 percent of its time @ tigray & sudan, both effects of vanity amhara/gurage madness of vanity.
