Military sources told the Sudan Tribune that Eritrean army forces had moved from Um Hajar - situated within the border triangle area between Eritrea, Sudan and Ethiopia near Sittit River - heading to Abdel Rafi area on the border between Ethiopia and Sudan.
"The Eritrean forces arrived a few days ago via Halakim, with heavy weapons," said the Sudanese military.
The Eritrean forces in Um Hajar allegedly participated alongside the Ethiopian army in its operations against the TPLF of Tigray Region. However, Asmara denied such accusations.

I said long time ago on this very forum that nobody else is more a close (and natural) alley to Ethiopia than Eritrea (at least on the people to people level) and vice-versa.
Allied Ethiopia and Eritrea will be a formidable force that no one can shatter that easily.
Ethiopia was dubbed by some observers as one of the few lonely nations of the world and that was even before Eritrea charted its own way and decided to separate itself from the mother land. At the same time the people to people relations remained the same old way, even amid the usual political bickerings between the actors of both sides.

Alliance can work but the problem is that you need to accept the reality that Eritrea is a neighboring country just like Djibouti and Somalia

Great Point!
Some Ethiopians have little knowledge of history and what cause the independence struggle in 1961. If their previous governments were feeding them fake stories for 40 plus years, that all all they would have a fake histry in graved in their brain. Regardless, we got what we fought for and as long as they respect that, we can co-exist peacefully for centuries to come.

Woyane was an entity who had been dried up, drained out and mummifed of any political concepts- from its infancy to its death. It was a parasite organization whose existence was assured and prolonged by other forces, EPLF being the primary force that ensured these bandits ascendacy to the throne. Given its background, attributing the challenges and hurdles that Eritrea were forced to pass through in the last two decades to the Adwa illiterates is akin to rotating your pawn, in a chess game, in a given square, without making any moves. Let's not fall into that false dichotomy - because I dislike Eden passionately, it means I like you! Besides, I even remember how the likes of you had been cheering on woyanes' 1998 - 2000 disastrous human-wave military strategy against Eritrea, until recently, as 'blitzkrieg' attack, even if it cost hundred thousands of your own people's souls. As long as your ego is satisfied, you don't seem to care about the consequences of your short-sighted delusions- a typical mentality of the 'elites' from that corner of the world that we're too familiar with!
If we seek to co-exist side by side peacefully, it should not be misconstrued as doing you a favor and vice versa.
