A Hero was born, but no one is talking about him

A truly heroic action and determination, risking one's own life and giving priority to the wellbeing of the community and other vital infrastructure of the country.

I don't know, if I may even come to the idea of getting into a burning truck to get something out before it will be overwhelmed by the flame, but a young man from Bule Hora town of Guji Zone did get into a burning truck and managed to drive it away before it would be inflamed in the diesel station, where it already caught a fire, and other vital resources, among them a nr. banks, and cause a major damage to the town and its residents.

No one is celebrating him for now but the man is a hero of unprecedented magnitude.

You know the language, I assume , but you are not telling us the name of the Hero.

His name is not clearily mentioned in the report but I think to have been refered to as Solomon, the first man in the video to be interviewed. The others are witnesses, testifying to his heroism and describing what he has done, simply unbelievable.

Another trait of his heroism is also he doesn't want to talk of himself high, he simply said "I am just glad that I managed to avoid a major damage to my community".

He now became a talking point of the main media of the country as well, delayed but not forgotten, seems.

His name is Solomon Demalash, if you didn't find out so far.

In any way he must be a true hero, in my view.

My first reaction was " did he survive it to tell his story ? ". I am glad that he is now with his family. Look at that little girl. When she grows up she will understand the heroic deed of her dad. He more than deserves the attention that he is getting. I am sure that you have seen this video :

Yes, I heard about that history back then, it was even more important during those days in my views, as it happened during an episode, when xenophobia and racism current was sweeping through out Europe, fueled by the high level of influx of refugees and it helped to reshape the framing of migration and refugee in Europe's public discourses.

Perhaps was the reason that the PM of France personally decided to give attention to the guy and that has helped a lot, I think.

This guy in Ethiopia didn't take a less risky task on himself and thereby saved a much larger scale of damage to human lives and property clearly. As such he deserved to be celebrated and his heroism acknowledged than the Malian guy, in my view. He saved a great deal of the whole city, incredible.
